How it works

You get a browsable HTML archive designed to print well: readable type, sensible margins, images sized to the page, no navigation chrome on paper. Open index.html, print, and choose "Save as PDF".

Doing it through your own browser rather than a server means the PDF is generated on your machine, at whatever paper size and margins you prefer, and the file never leaves your device.

For an actual printed book

  1. 1Export the HTML archive with media included, so the images are local files rather than links.
  2. 2Print to PDF at A4 or Letter.
  3. 3Upload the PDF to any print-on-demand service.

Also fine as a document

If you would rather have something editable first, the Google Docs export gives you a .docx with real heading structure, which exports to PDF from Docs or Word.
